Middle and High Schools across the Commonwealth are invited to participate in the 2inspire campaign and are eligible to receive $500 to assist in these efforts with a chance to win an additional $3,000!
What is 2inspire?
2inspire is a positive messaging campaign with the goal of empowering youth to be drug and alcohol- free while promoting each individual's interests and the need to make healthy choices.
who can participate?
Participation in the 2inspire campaign is open to all Pennsylvania Middle and High Schools. Multiple Middle and High Schools are welcome to register individually from the same School District. **If there is one Point of Contact for multiple schools, be sure to register each individual school and have the same point of contact listed for each.**
how do we sign-up?
It's easy! Click the button above labeled "Sign Up Here" by January 31st, 2016 and answer the 7 questions. Registering your school should take less than 5 minutes to complete.
what is the timeline?
The deadline to register your school is January 31st, 2016. Selected schools (capped at 175) will be notified in February. The deadline to complete the campaign to submit for additional prize money is May 20th, 2016. School Point of Contacts will also be required to complete an end of year report (similar to the 7 questions asked during registration) at the completion of their school's project. From the end of year report, the top 3 projects that best represent positive messaging surrounding drug and alcohol prevention and utilize the #2inspirePA hashtag with their students have a chance to win additional award money. The top 3 school projects will be announced the first week in June. 1st place- $3,000 2nd place- $2,000 3rd place- $1,000
what do we receive?
Schools will work with their students to develop and implement a positive messaging campaign (utilizing PAYS data where applicable) surrounding drug and alcohol prevention. Schools are encouraged to utilize 2inspire materials to assist in campaign development and the hashtag #2inspirePA as much as possible. Each school will be given access to the 2inspire positive messaging toolkit. There are many options that these funds can support as long as they are focused on pro-social opportunities for youth. This campaign should be created by youth for the youth!
are there any other requirements by the point of contact?
Yes-but not much! As previously mentioned, the point of contact will be asked to submit an end of year project report (short survey) on how the funds were utilized and the impact that was made.
what if i have more questions?
No problem! Contact Lauren McManus or Jane Hess at firstname.lastname@example.org for any questions you may have.
